5 Ways to Welcome Summer in Kailua Town

By June 2, 2022September 15th, 2022No Comments

School is out, the weather has warmed up. Let the summer begin! We have rounded up some ideas to welcome the season.

Try Kailua’s Newest Restaurant

Le Crepe Café

It no longer takes a trip to town to enjoy the authentic French crepes, robust omelets, toasted sandwiches and other house specialties of chef Soufiane Bouharkat, owner of Le Crepe Café.  Bouharkat has opened a Kailua location at 143 Hekili Street that offers the same extensive menu as his Manoa Marketplace café. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant boasts local, organic ingredients with vegan and gluten free options. Be sure to check out the wall mural by Kailua artist Shar Tuiasoa of Punky Aloha Studio. Click here for a video of the colorful mural.

Star in a Summer Selfie

Summer Window Paintings by The Tipsy Quill

The Tipsy Quill (i.e. artist Matthew Sherman) returns to Kailua Town to dress up a few windows for summer. You will find his selfie-worthy creations next to Picket Fence at Hekili Business Center, at the former Mother Bake Shop space on Hekili Street, and at the former Subway space in Kailua Shopping Center.
